The Ultimate Marbella Guide
I'm a bit of a secret dork when it comes to holidays, I always turn into an over-excited puppy planning, plotting and creating weekly itineraries for the holiday ahead. However, I do have reasons for my madness. I like to think by the time I am old and fragile I can look back on my life and be happy with all the experiences I have had in each country I have visited. That's why when I go somewhere on holiday I always do extensive homework on the area we are staying in so I don't miss out on anything, and this is EXACTLY what I did for Marbella, which is why I thought I would share it with you.
For us twenty-somethings, Marbella is a hot holiday destination- it's appeared on reality shows like TOWIE and Life on Marbs which have also promoted it well...ish. I recently went there for a week and loved it, however, I found many places we went too were because we were recommended them, the nights we just 'flooked' it, we ended up spending silly amounts of money on food in average restaurants. So to avoid disappointment I thought I would share with you my top spots to visit in Marbella. If you heading out there or thinking of booking a holiday, here's my ideal itinerary, tips & tricks!
Ocean Beach Club
Of course, I am going to start with Ocean Beach Club! If you're after a relaxed day party with good music, head to the exclusive Ocean Beach Club where you will find luxury beds to lounge on all day. The cocktails and food are good but very expensive so be prepared to splash your buck. A bed at Ocean start from 150 euro.
Oak Steak House
If you are up for the best steak of your life? Then head to Oak.. we got recommended this place for steak and it was honestly unreal, they do an amazing salted caramel bomb for dessert too! The ambiance is nice and the owner always loves a good chat.
La Cabane Beach Club
If you are up for a totally instagrammable beach club- you've come to the right place. If you are staying in Puerto Banus it's about a 20 minute cab journey (roughly 30 euro) to get there. The settings are b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l but again be prepared to spend on food and a sun lounger/bed.
Olivia's La Cala
You might have seen this restaurant on Elliot Wrights hit ITV show 'Playa in Marbella'. Elliot named the restaurant after his daughter Olivia, and spent a considerable amount of money building the restaurant which is quite exquisite! Me and the girls loved it here, there was a piano and a Michael Buble tribute singer performing throughout our meal, the seafood is great, the vibe was great, the food was great and to top it off we saw Elliot wondering round!
For the best view of the port, check out Pangea right at the end of the port. You get to see the port from a birds eye view (almost) and best of all you get to have a good look a the huge super yachts parked right outside the bar, they are basically floating mansions- incredible! The drinks are about 8 euros a drink here so not too bad. It gets busy after midnight.
If you need a decent beach with a decent beach bar, which isn't too much of a hassle and requires no taxi to get too, I have just the one! Just a bit further down from Ocean Beach Club on the other side of the walk way there is a gorgeous stretch of sand with luxury beach bars on. I felt like someone had picked up Chelsea and plopped it onto the beach, the beach bar served delicious English tapas like bruschetta, grilled goats cheese balls and most importantly they made a SLAMMING mojito, I was certainly impressed.
Don't forget to watch my Youtube channel/Instagram this weekend guys, I have a VERY exciting announcement which includes a give away you don't want to miss!
