The Best Night Sleep I've Ever Had | Dukes Hotel Review
I paid a visit to Dukes in Mayfair on Friday, a hotel I've wanted to experience for a very long time. I think a lot of the reason why I'm in love with London is down to the amount of stunning historical hotels it has.
Dukes, is a boutique hotel tucked away quietly on St James. 5 minutes away from Buckinghamshire Palace. Theres a magical feeling as you turn into the hotel, you are instantly greeted by the friendly staff who take all of your luggage into the reception for you. I often notice the small things in life and I couldn't help notice the stunning outdoors area just outside the hotel which had cute Parisian tables with candles on for people to sit outside on, there were also cushioned benches for people to wait for there taxi.
We were greeted with the warmest reception for the staff at the reception who lead me to my room on the 2nd floor. I immediately noticed noticed the intricate interior up the stair case and the sofas in the foyer area. My room was very spacious and comfortable, I particularly enjoyed the bed, the sheets were soft and luxurious, in fact I had the best night sleep I've ever had in that bed!
I ordered room service which arrived within 30 minutes by a lovely young man, all of the staff in the hotel were very helpful and respectable- it was one of my favourite things about the hotel, I felt safe and comfortable during my stay at Dukes.
In the morning I had an amazing breakfast in my room (pictured above) I absolutely love getting room service, it's something I look forward too when I go on holidays every year. I had the most scrumptious scrambled egg which were velvety and soft, it was the perfect start to the day.
Another fabulous feature of the room was the shower, I think you've hit jackpot with a hotel when you experience an amazing shower. The shower head was very large and very powerful, I could of showered for hours! The beauty products inside the toilet were great as well, I felt like it was well equipped.
Overall my stay was fantastic, I strongly recommend to stay here if you are visiting London or if you just fancy a treat for yourself, it's very central (practically next to Picccadilly Circus) so it is easy to get anywhere. I will definitely be staying again at Dukes, I can't wait to return over Christmas to see what they do with the place
